Day 1: Dushanbe
After arrival to the airport you will meet driver, then you will be transferred to Dushanbe. This day is dedicated to the sightseeing tour in the capita. You will have a chance to explore such wonderful sites as Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then you will get to National park where you will take pictures of Ministry of Inner Affairs. You are going to see the biggest National Flag in the world that estimates 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. Then you will explore the site with ancient artifacts Central Museum. In the afternoon you will discover Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. The tour continues with experience in Asian bazar. Here you will see the bustling life of the city, buy souvenirs and fresh fruits. This day you will get acquainted with the cultural attraction, discover the fabulous landscapes and take a lot of photos. You will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe – Khoburubot – Kalai Khum
After breakfast you will transfer to Kalai Khum village via fascinating mountain road. The way will be along high Khoburubot Pass (3 252). This pass also names as Western Pamir Tract. Your road will pass through picturesque landscapes, where you can enjoy pure nature, see beautiful rivers and gorges, and take many photo stops. Along the way you will observe the small villages and discover the way of life of local people. You will meet the local residents and communicate with them. Tajiks are very hospitable, kind and friendly people. These people are hardworking and not afraid of work. They also respect their customs and traditions, carefully pass on folklore from generation to generation, and respect their elders. Travel to Tajikistan will appeal to those who love the exotic, want to see the color of the country, enjoy the wild nature, see many beautiful places and compare the culture. You are going to spend the night in the home stay where you will have a chance to observe the local people’s life.
Day 3: Kalai Khum – Khorog
After breakfast you will transfer to Khorog. Khorog is a small city, and probably the smallest one shown on the world map. Traveling here you will see that the city is closed on 4 sides by powerful mountains. It looks like a tree growing on a steep cliff-small, but looking down on the world. This city is like the roof of the world, from where the trip to the Pamirs begins. Khorog erected on the confluence of the 3 rivers where Shokhdara River and Ghund River flow into Pyanj river. During the tour you will communicate with Pamir people. During the tour, you will learn that the Pamir people differ from the Tajiks in anthropological features; they have blue eyes, light skin, and light hair. You will explore the Pamir Mountains, which are the most populous after Tibet and the Himalayas. Life in the mountains made the Pamir people different from the Tajiks, especially customs, traditions and language. You will rest the night in the guesthouse.
Day 4: Khorog – Yashil Kul Lake – Bulunkul Lake
This day you will observe the most charming lakes of Pamirs - Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes), a fresh lake of tectonic origin located in the Murghab district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous region of Tajikistan at an altitude of 3737.4 meters above sea level. The maximum depth of the lake is 2 meters, the water transparency is more than 1 meter. This day you will have a chance to explore them. The lake is rich in fish and various types of fish. You will have a great opportunity to explore domestic animals yaks, they share the characteristics of cows and sheep. Yaks are useful for humans: wool, meat, and milk. En route you will transfer along the charming Koitezak pass (4 271 m). This night will be in the homestay.
Day 5: Bulunkul – Khorog
After breakfast you will transfer to to Khorog along Pamir Highway, known as M41 Pamir Tract. This high-altitude road is considered the second after Tibet. The height is about 4000 meters above sea level over mountains and passes. This mountainous and inaccessible area is rich in various flora and fauna which is home to such animal species as Turkestan rat, tiger-cat, grizzly bear, badger, stoat, fox, grey and red wolves. Such a high-altitude area has given us a rich animal world. It is also home to Marco Polo sheep, which differs from the usual sheep size and in the highlands listed in the red book snow leopard. You will spend the night in the guesthouse.
Day 6: Khorog – Kalai Khum
This day you will return from Khorog to Kalai Khum. You will travel the same road. Due to the fact that in this part of the Pamir highlands that reaches 6000 meters, there was only one road to build. Traveling through the Pamirs, the traveler has great opportunities to learn a lot about ethnography, enjoy the wild nature, learn a lot about culture, customs and traditions, and learn how life was born in this place. En route you will break at small villages where you will meet the local residents and observe their lifestyle. You will see that the villages are located on both sides of the river in narrow mountain valleys. You are going to see Afghan stony villages and gardens on the other side of the river. You will rest the night in the home stay.
Day 7: Kalai Khum – Norak – Dushanbe
After breakfast you will transfer to Dushanbe. This day will be the last active day. You will end transferring along Afghanistan border. This day you will transfer over Shuraba pass (2 267 m). You will be inspired by the magnificent views of unique mountains – it is Territory of Pamir Mountains. For centuries Pamir has inspired travelers with its landscapes and such famous discoverers wanted to visit Pamir as – Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. Today you are going to travel along natural border – Pyanj River. Pamir attracts more and more tourists every year and you have the opportunity to enjoy the views of such unique mountains. Travelers who have already visited the Pamirs call it the ocean system of blue and white mountains. This day you will also fascinate Norak water reservoir that is called Tajik Sea. You will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 8: Dushanbe – Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
