Day 1: Dushanbe – Hissor – Dushanbe
This day you will be picked up by your driver at the airport and then you will transfer to the city Dushanbe. You will have today the city tour. In course of the tour you will visit such wonderful sites as Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. During the tour you will see the National park where you will have a chance to take photos of Ministry of Inner Affairs and National flag. Walking in Dushanbe you will find the biggest National flag of Tajikistan in the world - 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. After that you will experience Central Museum where you will have a chance to learn the history. Afterwards you will explore Hissor (7th -17th centuries) that was situated on the high hill. Previously it was the residence of the Emir of Bukhara a high fortress wall 1 meter thick with loopholes for guns and cannons was built of baked bricks. The main gate has a traditional feudal military architecture laconic and simple appearance. There are located a pool, green and alluring garden, on the square was busy and noisy market with a caravan serai. Travelers can explore here see two majestic towers and the gates. There are located “Madrasa I Kuhna” dated back to 16th-17th centuries was reconstructed and you can explore the mausoleum of Mahdumi Azam” built in 16th century. You will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe – Khoburubot – Kalai Khum
This day you are going to drive along the fascinating Khoburubot Pass (3 252 meters) that is famous as Western Pamir Tract to the village Kalai Khum. Along the way you will find the fabulous and attractive scenery and be amazed by the enchanting gorges in the terrain. During the tour you will have a chance to have photo stops and enjoy the nature. There you will get acquainted with the local inhabitants and observe the hospitality. You will find out what kind of Tajiks are kind, friendly and hardworking. Tajiks are very hospitable, but they also respect their customs and traditions very much, and they also respect the older generation. They pass on the paramedic and culture from generation to generation. This night will be in the home stay
Day 3: Kalai Khum – Khorog
This day you will continue the tour to the smallest city in the world – Khorog. Khorog a city located on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, the administrative center of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous region. This city is located at the bottom of a deep gorge at an altitude of 2200 meters, near the confluence of the Gunt river with the Panj. Today you will have a chance to meet Pamir people. They differ from the Tajiks with their blue eyes, light hair and fair skin. You will learn that the Pamir mountains are one of the highest in the world with human population after the Himalayas in Tibet. Due to the fact that people lived far from each other, they have different customs and traditions. You will rest the night in the guesthouse.
Day 4: Khorog – Langar
You are going to drive today to Langar village. This village is located in the heart of Asia. Pamir is the highest mountain junction not only in Tajikistan, but also in the entire Soviet Union. Tajikistan is a land of sky-high mountains, turbulent rivers, fertile valleys, eternal ice and hot springs. Since ancient times, this mountain system is called as “the Roof of the World”. The Pamir Mountains are a place where the Pamir people live with their unique culture, customs and traditions. Pamirs located at an altitude of 3,500 to 4,200 meters above sea level. For many years, the enclaves lived separately and therefore they have a different language, have their own dialects. En route you will explore Buddhist complex (4th – 7th centuries) that located above the Varang village. After arrival to Langar you will have a tour exploring Abreshim Kala known as a Silk Fortress. You will spend the night in a home stay.
Day 5: Langar – Yashil Kul Lake – Bulunkul Lake – Murgab
This day is dedicated to exploring two beautiful lakes called as Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes). They are located in the Murghab distric on the altitude of 3 700 meters above sea level. Yashilkul means "green lake". It is located in the Pamirs at an altitude of 3,700 meters above sea level. The lake was formed as a result of a blockage that blocked the Alichur river. Water flows over the blockage, and it is from this place that the Gunt river originates. Lake Bulunkul is much smaller than Yashilkul and is connected to it by a narrow channel. The lake is notable for the fact that fishing was organized here for the first time in the Pamirs. Travelling here you will have a chance to explore domestic animal as a yaks, a massive cloven-hoofed animal that has a very exotic taste that gives people milk and meat. You will continue tour with transferring along the amazing Khargush pass 4 344 meters high. The night is in the guesthouse.
Day 6: Murgab – Khorog
M41 known as Pamir Tract is a road runs via Pamir Highway. This is the highest mountain road after Tibet. Along the way you will see the fascinating passes and celestial mountains on the altitude of more than 4 000 meters above sea level. During the tour you will drive via Koitezak pass is 4 271 meters high. In such a remote and mountainous area live such a rich flora and fauna and live such unique species of animals as: Turkestan rat, tiger-cat, grizzly bear, badger, stoat, fox, grey and red wolves, huge population of Marco Polo sheep, listed in red book endangered snow leopard. You will spend the night in the guesthouse.
Day 7: Khorog – Kalai Khum
Today you will drive from Khorog to Kalai Khumas. You will be able to drive on the same road that you had before. Due to the fact that there are high mountains more than 6000 meters, it was possible to build only one road. Traveling here, tourists are amazed by the beauty and improbability of this place. You will have a great chance to explore ethnography, history and everyday life of mountain shelters and with this you can imagine how the history of humanity created. During the tour you will break at small settlements and discover the way of live of locals. You will observe their houses on the both sides of the river mountain valleys. This night will be in the home stay.
Day 8: Kalai Khum – Norak – Dushanbe
Today you will come back to the capital of Tajikistan – Dushanbe. This is going to be the destination. You are going to finish the transferring along Afghanistan boarder where you explored a lot of thing. This day you will drive along the high Shubara pass 2 267 meters high. You will be surprised by the beauty of this part, which is also part of the Pamirs. For many years this part of the Pamirs has attracted such discoverers Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. You also have a great opportunity to travel to such beautiful places where you will have chance to explore the culture and traditions. Many tourists also call this part of the Pamirs system the ocean of white and blue mountains. You are going to explore such wonderful natural border – Pyanj River and Norak water reservoir that is known as Tajik Sea. You will rest the night in the hotel.
