Mysterious Karakum

Name of tour: Mysterious Karakum 

Length: 6 days and 5 nights 

Overnight stays: Ashgabat, Darwasa, Damla. 

Day 1: Ashgabat
You will meet your driver and guide at Ashgabat International Airport. You will be transferred to the hotel and have a rest time. The city tour begins at 14:30. You will visit main touristic attractions, monuments, mosques and amazing architecture.

Day 2: Ashgabat – Darwaza
In the morning you will have a breakfast. Then we will go to the Seyit Jemaletdin mausoleum with the aim to visit Ertogrul Gazi mosque. After lunch which will be at 15:00 we will travel via Karakum desert to Darwaza. Locals and travelers call it "the door to hell" or "the gates of hell". It is located 90 km from the village of Yerbent in the Dashoguz velayat. The sunset in the desert is beautiful. The crater itself is enormous and makes for some incredible photo opportunities. Overnight is in a camp.

Day 3: Darwaza – Damla
After breakfast we will drive to Damla village. It is located in Jagadhri Tehsil of Yamunanagar district in Haryana, India. It is situated 15km away from sub-district headquarter Jagadhri and 12km away from district headquarter Yamunanagar. As per 2009 stats, Damla village is also a gram panchayat. There will be an excursion and we will drive to the next point of our trip is Ak Molla village. The night is in a guest home.

Day 4: Damla – Ashgabat
As soon as you have a breakfast we will travel to Murze Chirla village. There will be several stops where you are free to take photos. Afterwards we will return to Ashgabat to see main touristic attractions.

Day 5: Ashgabat
After breakfast we will continue our tour with National Museum. Then we will visit Old Nisa. It was an ancient settlement of the Parthians, located near the Bagyr neighborhood of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, 18 km southwest of the city center. Nisa is described by some as the first seat of the Arsacid Empire. Then you will have a lunch and we will visit Gypjak mosque and mausoleum of the last president of Turkmenistan. Afterwards we will drive back to Ashgabat.

Day 6: Flight
Night transfer to the Ashgabat International Airport to board a flight to next destination.
